Born on May 12, 1971 in Mersin, Dr. Burak Turna completed his secondary and high school education at Mersin Anatolian High School. After graduating from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine, he started his urology residency at Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Urology in 1998. During his student life in Leeds, England, St. During her internship and urology residency at St. James Hospital, she did a general surgery rotation at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, England. While he was a urology assistant, he successfully passed the examinations of the General Medical Council and became one of the first Turkish doctors to get the right to work as a medical doctor in England. After becoming a urology specialist in May 2003, he started working as a specialist doctor at Ege University Faculty of Medicine. In the same year, he passed the written and oral board exam of the European Association of Urology and was awarded the title of "Fellow of the European Board of Urology".
In 2004, within the scope of the "European Urological Scholarship Program", he worked in the field of "Endourology" at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh, Scotland, and in the field of "Laparoscopic and Robotic Urology" at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, USA between 2006-2007. worked. Having received the title of Associate Professor of Urology in 2010, Dr. Turna became the second Turkish member to be elected as a Board Member of the European Urology Association's Urotechnology Subgroup in the same year due to her successful work in her field. Turna still continues to work as a Board Member of the Endourology Association and the Turkish Urology Association.
He has written chapters in 10 books in total, which has about 100 national and international publications published so far. Between 2010-2016, Ege University Faculty of Medicine Vice President of Surgical Sciences, Associate Professor Representative and Head of Urogenital Surgery Training Program. Turna was deemed worthy of the Turkish Urology Association Science Award that year for her successful work in 2014. Burak Turna was the co-chairman of the "26th World Videourology Congress" held in Izmir in 2015. In 2016, he received the title of Professor of Urology. Turna's main area of interest is Laparoscopic and Robotic Urological Surgery and she is one of the most experienced academicians in our country. Dr. Turna wrote the book "Practical Tips in Urology", which was published in English for young urologists in 2017. Continuing his studies as a lecturer at Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Urology, Prof. Dr. Burak Turna is married and has two children
